How are partner families selected?

 

Moultrie County Habitat for Humanity continuously looks for families who live in Moultrie County and are in need of a simple, decent place to live. If you are or know someone who 1) demonstrates a need for better housing conditions, 2) is able to pay, and 3) is willing to participate as a partner with Habitat, then please recommend that person. We accept applications from local families on a continuous basis. The applicants must be documented residents of the US and residents or working in Moultrie County for at least one year prior to application. Our Family Selection committee reviews the applications and chooses families based on need, their willingness to become partners in the program, and their ability to repay the no-interest mortgage. Moultrie County Habitat for Humanity does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, marital status, or age in choosing partner families.
